Virginia Giuffre has revealed in her posthumous memoir, Nobody’s Girl, that she feared she might “die a sex slave” at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and his associates. The memoir, obtained by the BBC ahead of its publication, was released nearly six months after Giuffre took her own life.
The book details the systematic abuse Giuffre suffered, including sexual exploitation orchestrated by Epstein and his former partner, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking. Giuffre describes being “habitually used and humiliated,” subjected to sadomasochistic acts, and fearing for her life.
Giuffre also alleges that she had sex with Prince Andrew on three separate occasions, including one encounter with Epstein and several other young women. Prince Andrew, who settled a civil case with Giuffre in 2022, has always denied any wrongdoing.
The memoir provides a wider account of Epstein’s sex trafficking network, describing how girls were selected to appear “childlike” and how Giuffre’s own vulnerabilities, including a childhood eating disorder, were exploited.
Following the memoir’s revelations, Prince Andrew announced he would step back from royal duties and no longer use his Duke of York title, but he continues to deny the allegations.
The book paints a harrowing picture of the abuse of young women by powerful figures, highlighting the scale of Epstein’s operation and its impact on his victims.
