Kathmandu, Nepal — The Annual General Assembly of Tribhuvan University has officially approved its 63rd Grace List, which includes 89,191 students who have passed various faculties and levels, paving the way for them to receive their degrees.
The assembly, held on Thursday at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar, was chaired by Prime Minister and Chancellor of the University, KP Sharma Oli. The meeting passed the Grace List presented by University Registrar Prof. Dr. Kedar Prasad Rijal. Additionally, the budget and programmes for the fiscal year 2082/83 (2025/26) were presented during the session.
Speaking on the occasion, Chancellor Oli urged for the transformation of Tribhuvan University into a competitive and capable institution aligned with the demands of the 21st century. He emphasized that the university should evolve to meet global standards and challenges.
Similarly, Pro-Chancellor and Minister of Science and Technology, Raghuji Pant, highlighted the pivotal role of the education sector in fulfilling the national vision of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.” He stressed that the university must align its work and vision accordingly.
The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, stated that the university should aim to enroll at least one percent of its total student population—approximately 4,000 students—from foreign countries. He underscored the importance of internationalization in enhancing the university’s global standing.
