Scotland UK, July 15 — Binu Lamichhane has been elected unopposed as the Women Coordinator of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) UK for the upcoming term.
According to details published by the NRNA UK Election Committee, Lamichhane was the sole candidate for the position, leading to her unanimous election without contest.
In a significant development regarding the President race, three presidential hopefuls — Manish Khatri, Kashiram Bhandari, and Govinda Sharma Kharel — have reached an agreement to field a single consensus candidate from among them, representing the Scottish Nepali community. The final decision on who will be the unified candidate is expected to be announced soon. This move aims to strengthen internal unity and ensure greater representation for Scotland within the national leadership.
Previously, all three had submitted their nominations, but following a series of discussions to resolve internal differences and uphold regional inclusion, they agreed to back a single nominee for the top post.
Another presidential candidate, Rajendra Pudasaini, remains in the race.
