Two Nepali students tragically lost their lives in a car accident that occurred in the United States.
The victims have been identified as Rajan Yadav (22) and Rozin Oli (20), both students at Louisiana Tech University. Although it has been confirmed that both were Nepali nationals, their exact hometowns in Nepal have not yet been disclosed.
According to local media reports citing the Louisiana State Police, the fatal crash took place around 9 PM on July 13 (corresponding to Asar 29 in the Nepali calendar). The details of how the accident occurred have not been fully released.
U.S.-based news platform MyArkLaMiss.com also confirmed the incident, reporting the deaths of the two international students of Nepali origin. However, like other sources, it did not provide any information regarding their addresses in Nepal.
The Nepali diaspora community and student organizations in the U.S. have expressed shock and grief over the incident, while efforts are reportedly underway to establish contact with the victims’ families in Nepal.
